The classic Lakeland visit starts at Easter and finishes in October. But what about the Winter months? Climate change has made our mountains much more accessible from November through to March.

What makes these months special is the light. Low sun that brings different shadows across the valleys. Shorter days with fewer tourists. Exceptional sunsets. Snow.

And at the end of your day there’s a pint in the Kirkstile or a booking at a favourite restaurant. Our playground becomes easier to access. Calmer.
